A ramen house with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is pretty fast and the food is very good. I'm not a big Ramen guy, but it is ok when others in your group want to eat it. It was not cheap, but not very expensive either. There is plenty of parking and overall a nice atmosphere to dine at. I had the Hot Chx Spicy Chilled. The Ramen is cooked but not in a soup. The vegetables are cold and raw. The chicken is warm and cooked. Even though the name says spicy, for those who eat spicy, it won't make you bat an eye. However, the mixture was delicious. So, I would order this dish again, especially during the hot Austin summers. If you are in the mood for some Ramen, then look no more, just hop in the car and drive over.

I picked up ramen to go after coming from Houston. My sisters and I all got the OG. I got the OG with spicy bomb and bamboo shoots. I would say the broth was mid.. it was very milky like and really oily. I think with more seasoning and less oil, the broth would've been good. I ordered to go online and it was ready within 15-20 mins. They also have outdoor seating that reminds me of New York. With booth tables and string lights outside. I was so hungry I didn't get a pic!

Had Tatsu-ya a bunch, at a few different locations over the last few years. Still continues to be my favorite ramen, especially the broth, soooooo good! Katsu slider is good, a very flavorful katsu, deeply fried. Service is always good! Sometimes there are lines, but regardless, it moves quick because of how simple the menu is overall. Places that have focused menus, big plus!

I usually get the OG ramen, but this time I tried the vegan curry ramen! It was good! A lighter broth because it uses almond milk. I liked the tofu skin and how it soaked up the broth. The karage was also really yummy! I liked the spicy mayo sauce it came with. The service was super fast! We went on a sunday around 1 pm and they had seating available for 6. After 30 minutes, there was a line out of the door! You order at a kiosk.

AMAZING RAMEN! I'm visiting Austin right now and when I landed our Uber driver recommended this ramen restaurant! It's one of the best ramens I've had in a while and super happy I was able to visit them before leaving. The staff is amazing too, shout out to the manager! He made our experience 10x better with his recommendations and hospitality! Super friendly and we had a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back if I'm visiting Austin again!

Austin has a wonderful selection of ramen and Japanese food, but Ramen Tetsu-ya might do it best. The flavor is genuine and smooth making you wish you never see the bottom of the bowl. It's like a culinary vacation to Japan. The only drawback is the limited seating, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Try the Miso Hot or the classic Tonkotsu (The OG) for the best of the best. Honestly, just pick something on the menu for the best of the best. This place gets VERY busy during lunch and dinner on any day. You need to go during an off hour to have a shot at getting a table. The line will be long otherwise. There's a water station in the back, but ice water is ordered in line. Seating is also somewhat limited.

Holy *BEEP* DAMMMN this is amazing Ramen. We travel America, Texas is our 11th state. We have had ramen in every state, THIS is the best ramen we've all had. It was my middle daughter's birthday & wanted a whole day of her picks. She wanted ramen & so I yelped ramen & Ramen Tatsu-Ya popped up. We got there 15 minutes before they opened & was first in line. Unfortunately we didn't know what to order so we went in back of the line so that we don't take up too much time up front. You do have to order first THAN grab a table. So if this is your first time here, look at the menu on Yelp or online FIRST. We learned that the hard way. Now, we ordered a Mi-so NOT and I ordered the butter corn bomb with it. I've never had cabbage in my ramen & I LOVED it ! We also ordered two of The OG & the kids loved the Woodear Mushroom. My daughter & husband LOVE spicy, so they got the Mi-So HOT with a spicy bomb. They said it was the perfect spice with the bomb. Love the inside look of the place. It's beautifully decorated. My daughter went to the restroom & said it's really cool looking in there. I was already in our van so I don't have pics. If we lived near Austin, I'm sure we'd be regulars.

Haven't been here in a while so it was awesome coming back. Always been a fan of the paintings and decor that are on the walls. Friendly staff with awesome knowledge about the menu. I've tried the whole menu but the all time favorite will always be the Shoyu with extra bamboo ! You can order extra noods if you need more of a meal as well. Highly recommend the karage and the spicy edamame! Would be a lot happier if they restocked their shirts more often though. *** first come first serve, grab a table asap ! Lines can get long but outdoor seating has helped a great deal.

Ramen Tatsu-Ya has long been my favorite ramen spot in Austin! Some people think it's overhyped, and it definitely has gotten pricier in the last few years, but for me it still hits the spot. No other ramen place has been able to compare. I'm a basic, classic girl who always goes for the #1 - The OG bowl with an extra egg (best marinated eggs in the city)! I've tried a few of their appetizers but don't really care too much for anything other than the ramen (plus in my opinion they're severely overpriced for the value). This place always gets packed and busy, especially during cooler weather. Go for a late lunch or early dinner if you want to avoid a line and be able to find a table. We went around 4:45pm on a Saturday and didn't have any issues! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, this location is in a shopping center with other restaurants, so there is open lot parking. It does get busy/packed at peak times, but not nearly as complicated as their other locations with only street parking. - Reservations? Nope, just walk right up. - Takeout? Yes, you can order online or by phone. We ordered two OG bowls and added their new $7 killer combo deal to both (dine-in only deal) - for the extra $7 you get fried dumplings and a tea ($10-$11 value). Your choice of cold brew green tea, sweet green matcha tea, or their Hibi Hibi punch (hibiscus tea with yuzu lemon). The ramen was as expected and just as delicious as always! The fried dumplings were way too salty - would not order those again. The breading was salty, the filling was salty, and the dipping sauce was salty! Overall a total salt bomb. The punch was cold and refreshing and not too sweet - really enjoyed that. I will always be a fan of the Ramen Tatsu-Ya restaurant group and they will always be my go-to for ramen!
